MTV and Elisa are currently negotiating a new channel distribution agreement as the current contract expires on May 12, 2026. It is possible that MTV’s free-to-air channels (MTV3, Sub, and Ava) may not be available on Elisa’s cable TV network starting Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Any potential interruption would affect the availability of live broadcasts on Elisa’s network.

If there are disruptions in the distribution of MTV channels, Elisa will offer residents the opportunity to use the Elisa Viihde service free of charge for one month. Through this service, the channels can be watched via an internet connection on a smart TV, mobile device, tablet, or computer.

MTV channels can be viewed on the Elisa Viihde service as recordings and during recording with approximately a 3-minute delay. The service will end automatically, and no separate charges will be billed to residents.

Residents may choose to activate the Elisa Viihde application in advance and familiarize themselves with the service in case of a disruption.

Christmas is approaching, and at the same time, waste bins fill up faster than usual. By preparing for sorting in advance, the holidays can go smoothly without unnecessary problems. Here are the most important tips for recycling during Christmas:

🍗 Cooking fats
Do not pour ham or other Christmas food fats down the drain – they solidify and cause blockages. Let them cool and scrape into bio-waste or absorb with kitchen paper.

✨ Wrapping paper and ribbons
Shiny and plastic-coated wrapping paper and ribbons do not belong in paper recycling. Dispose of them in mixed waste.

🍽️ Foil trays and metal waste
Cleaned foil trays, drink cans, and tealight aluminum cups → metal recycling. Remove the wicks.

📦 Packaging materials
Clean cardboard packaging → cardboard recycling.
Food plastics and other plastics → plastic recycling.

🌲 Christmas tree
Used Christmas trees can be taken after the holidays to the Hopeakivenlahti garden waste point (Hopeakivenlahdentie 55), where they are composted.

📅 Please note that we are open by appointment only from June 1 to August 31.

Our office will be relocating to new premises during June. Our new address will be: Vaasantie 6, 4th floor – Ipark.
